We started with one goal in mind: to make replacing your lenses easy, affordable, and better than what most big name brands were offering. But over the years, we kept hearing the same thing from our customers: When are you going to make your own sunglasses? Well, we listened, and years later our frame collection continues to grow and adapt. Our customers wanted more than just top tier lenses, they wanted full sunglasses built with the same level of quality, durability, and style that we put into our lenses. And that’s exactly what we set out to create.
Why We Made Sunglasses
Of course, demand played a big role. People trusted us with their lenses, so it was only natural that they wanted the full package. But beyond that, we saw a gap in the market. There were plenty of frames out there, but not many that combined premium craftsmanship, durability, and the ability to customize your lenses the way we do, at least not without the premium pricing. We wanted to make sunglasses that weren’t just stylish but reliable, ones that could keep up with real life, whether that meant hitting the trails, fishing at sunrise, or just running errands without worrying about fragile frames or overpriced replacements.
The Start of Something New: 3 Rooker
When we decided to launch our own line of sunglasses, we knew they had to be different. Not just in quality, but in identity. That’s why every pair of Fuse sunglasses is named after a Florida island, beach, or local place that inspires everything we do. The first? 3 Rooker. Named after 3 Rooker Island in Clearwater, Florida (our hometown), this pair was our very first dive into making sunglasses. We wanted to create something that could handle everything from beach days to road trips, and 3 Rookers delivered. They set the foundation for what would become an entire lineup of high quality frames built for adventure.
Building a Lineup: Egmont, Lido, And Anna-Maria
After the success of 3 Rooker, we didn’t stop there. We expanded our lineup, creating frames that suited different styles and activities, all while keeping that signature Florida inspired naming. One of our best sellers? Egmont. Egmont, named after Egmont Key, is a go to frame for those who want a bold but practical look. It’s durable, lightweight, and built to handle the elements. Whether you're out on the water or just taking in a sunset, Egmont frames are designed to perform. But that’s just the beginning. We followed up with Lido, a frame that offers a more refined style while still providing the same level of durability and comfort. And then came Anna Maria, our more unisex design, perfect for those looking for a versatile frame that combines subtle fashion with everyday wearability. Over time, we’ve continued to add new frames, each one designed with both function and style in mind.
